hey everyone, i’m trying to come up with a topic/question for my extended essay.
right now i’m feeling a bit unsure. the idea that i have at the moment is to look at something to do with bacteria, specifically e.coli. i have a few ideas relating to this:
- changing the ph/temperature and looking at the effects of e.colin growth
- looking at e.coli and it’s synthesis of vitamin k - with this i don’t know how i would test it, so any ideas there?
- competitive exclusion of e.coli and another bacteria - with this i could also change the conditions.
what do you think of these ideas? are they too simple? can they be further developed? how could i test for vitamin k synthesis?
